Use Autopilot, templates, brands and analytics from Claude or ChatGPT

Claude, ChatGPT and other MCP clients can run Autopilot tasks, pick templates, styles and brands, organize collections, read video analytics, check plan usage, list your team and search this help center. What each needs, who can grant it, and what costs credits.

Updated 6 min read

Once Claude, ChatGPT or another AI app is connected to your workspace, it can do more than make videos: it can run Autopilot tasks, choose the template, style and brand of a video, organize your library into collections, read how your videos perform, check your plan's credits, list your team and look up answers in this help center. This article lists those tools, the permission each needs and what costs credits.

Before you start

  • Connect the app first. See Connect Claude, ChatGPT, Codex or Cursor to Clevera.
  • The app only gets these tools if its access includes the permissions below. The Workspace agent preset includes all of them. A token or connection made before these permissions existed doesn't have them: connect again, or create a new token, and pick them.
  • The app acts as you, within your role. It never sees more than you could see in Clevera.
  • Inside Clevera, the Clevera agent does the same without any setup. It sets Autopilot tasks up differently: it shows a setup card that you check and create yourself.

What the app can do

Area Ask it to… Tools Permission
Autopilot List the task starters, check a task's inputs, create a task (it plans for free), re-plan it with a change, run its plan, cancel it, pause or resume a repeating or triggered task, run one now, change a task's setup (instructions, inputs, budget; on a Repeat also its schedule, how many items each run makes and its approval), and turn a task's Repeat on, change it or turn it off list_task_starters, prepare_task, create_task, plan_task, run_task, cancel_task, pause_task, resume_task, run_task_now, update_task, set_task_repeat, list_tasks, get_task tasks:read to read, tasks:write to change. Running a plan, running a task now, turning a Repeat on, changing it or resuming it, and changing a task's budget, schedule or approval also need credits:spend.
Templates and styles List the templates a how-to or product demo can take and the styles of a social clip, then make a video or clip with the one you chose and your brand list_video_designs, get_video_design, list_clip_looks videos:create; starting the video also needs credits:spend
Brands List your brands, read one in full, add a brand from its website (Clevera reads the site in the background, no credits), edit it, make it the default or archive it list_brands, get_brand, create_brand, update_brand brands:read to read, brands:write to change
Collections List collections and their folders, create a collection, move a video or article into a collection or folder, rename an item list_collections, create_collection, move_item, rename_item library:read to list, library:write to change
Analytics Read views, sessions, completion rate, watch time and article reads for the workspace or one video, over a period (the last 30 days by default), compared with the period before get_video_analytics analytics:read
Plan and usage Read the plan, renewal date, seats, the credit balance by bucket and usage over a period get_plan_usage billing:read
Team List the workspace's members and their roles (read only) list_team_members team:read
Help Search this help center and read an article, to answer "how do I…" questions about Clevera search_clevera_help, get_clevera_help_article None: every connection has them

Library changes are limited to renaming and moving: an app can't delete videos, articles or recordings. Publishing to YouTube, TikTok and other platforms is coming soon and isn't available to apps yet.

A few Autopilot limits the app meets the same way you do:

  • What starts a task can't change. A task's trigger (a schedule, a repository, new videos) stays as it was set up; to change it, set up a new task and delete the old one.
  • A task that runs once can't be changed after it's created. Change what it makes by re-planning it with a change instead.
  • Pausing stops new runs only; runs already planned or running carry on. Running now is refused while a run is still open or when a Repeat's budget for the month is used up.

Who can grant what

Permission What it allows Owner Admin Editor Content Creator
tasks:read "Read Autopilot tasks, their plans and runs" Yes Yes Yes Yes
tasks:write "Create, plan, run, cancel and repeat Autopilot tasks" Yes Yes No Yes
brands:read "Read brands" Yes Yes Yes Yes
brands:write "Create and edit brands" Yes Yes No Yes
library:write "Rename items, create collections and move items" Yes Yes Yes Yes
analytics:read "Read video views and engagement" Yes Yes Yes Yes
team:read "See the workspace members and their roles" Yes Yes Yes Yes
billing:read "Read the plan, credits and usage history" Yes Yes No No

Creating a collection also needs a role that can create collections in the app. Each Autopilot task kind can have its own role rules: the app gets the same answer you would in the app. See Choose permissions for an AI agent.

What costs credits

  • Reading, listing and searching are free, and so are adding and editing brands, collections and task plans.
  • Running a task's plan is where Autopilot uses credits. The app first gets a free quote with the credits per item, then starts it. Like every paid start, it's checked against the token's spend caps, and a person approves it unless it's below the Approve automatically below line. Connected apps (Claude, ChatGPT) always wait for a person's approval. See Control agent spending and approvals.
  • A task on Repeat runs on its schedule within the monthly budget you set. Set up by a token, the budget must fit the token's Per month cap ("The monthly budget is above this token's monthly spend cap…"), and the Repeat runs on its own only within the token's Approve automatically below amount; above it, each run waits for review. The Repeat stops when the token is revoked or expires.

Try it

After connecting, ask the app things like:

  • "Which Autopilot tasks are waiting for review in Clevera?"
  • "Pause the weekly help-center task until next month."
  • "Make a product demo from my latest recording in our default brand and the template you'd recommend."
  • "Move every onboarding video into a collection called Onboarding."
  • "How did our videos do this month compared with last month?"
  • "How many credits do we have left?"
  • "How do I add my own domain to a Clevera doc site?"
