Doc sites and AI agents & API

Doc sites and AI agents & API: a published Acme Help site with its AI assistant answering a question, next to a card showing Claude, ChatGPT, Claude Code, Codex and Cursor connected.

Two new parts of Clevera ship today. Doc sites turn the articles you already make in Clevera into a hosted help center, on every plan. AI agents & API lets Claude, ChatGPT, Claude Code, Codex, Cursor and your own scripts work in your workspace, on Pro and up.

    New

    Doc sites

Doc sites: the Overview of the Acme Help site in Clevera with reader stats, in front of it the live help.example.com home page, and a connected custom domain.
    • Publish your articles as a help center. Open Doc sites in the sidebar, name a site, pick the articles and a look, and publish. Your articles stay in Content; edit one and its page updates on the next publish. Every site gets a free your-site.clevera.help address. See Understand doc sites and Create a doc site.
    • An AI assistant for your readers. Ask AI answers questions from your published pages and lists the sources it used. Assistant answers use no credits; each plan includes a monthly number. See Set up the doc site assistant.
    • Search, languages and light and dark. Readers search with ⌘ K / Ctrl K, switch language in the header and pick a theme. Choose from 74 languages; titles and menu labels are translated for you. See Add languages to a doc site.
    • Insights that show what to write next. See views, what readers searched for and didn't find, what they asked the assistant and how they rated each page, with Write article right next to a content gap. See Read doc site insights and Collect reader feedback and messages.
    • Your own domain. On Starter and up, serve a site from an address such as help.example.com. The setup shows the DNS records and step-by-step guides for common DNS providers, and tells you exactly what to change if a record isn't right yet. See Connect a custom domain.
    • Publish versions and roll back. Changes collect until you publish them as a new version, and every version is kept in Publishing. See Publish a doc site.
    • Site pages, navigation, appearance and a changelog. Add About, landing, FAQ and legal pages (the AI can draft them from your site), set the header and footer, match your brand, and post release notes with an RSS feed. See Create site pages, Customize how a doc site looks and Publish a doc site changelog.
    • Bring your docs with you. Import from Mintlify, GitBook, Docusaurus, Zendesk, Intercom, Help Scout, ReadMe, Document360, Notion and other docs sites, with images, structure, translations and redirects for old addresses. Export any site as an HTML or Markdown zip. Both are free. See Import and export a doc site.
    • Private sites. On Pro and up, protect a site with a password or workspace sign-in. See Control who can read a doc site.

Doc sites are on every plan: one site on Free and Starter, more on Pro by seats, plus your own domain on Starter and up. See Doc site plans and limits.

Search insights for Acme Help: searches, search success, zero-result rate and click-through, searches per day, and content gaps with Write article and Mark as covered.
Content gaps list the searches that found nothing, so you know which article to write next.

    AI agents & API

AI agents & API: the New API token wizard with its presets, the Connect Claude or ChatGPT card, an agent request waiting for Approve, and the Codex command to add Clevera.
    • Let AI agents work in your workspace. Agents can find your recordings, videos and articles, request videos, social clips and articles from a recording, export MP4s, add images, videos and PDFs to your uploads, and draft, translate and publish doc site pages. Clevera's own AI makes the video or article, the same as when you start it in the app. Open the workspace menu and choose AI agents & API. See Understand AI agents and the API.
    • Connect Claude and ChatGPT without a token. Add Clevera as a custom connector, sign in, and choose the workspace, sites and access. See Connect Claude, ChatGPT, Codex or Cursor.
    • API tokens for Claude Code, Codex, Cursor and your scripts. New token walks you through Purpose, Permissions, Limits and Review, with presets such as Writer, Publisher, Support assistant and Producer. Tokens always expire and their secret is shown once. See Create an API token and Choose permissions for an AI agent.
    • You decide what agents spend. Set spend caps per job, day and month, and an Approve automatically below line. Anything above it waits in Agent requests until an owner or admin clicks Approve. See Control agent spending and approve requests.
    • Webhooks, an activity log and a REST API. Get signed notifications in your own systems, see everything agents did on Activity, and call the REST API from scripts. See Set up webhooks, Read the AI agent activity log and Use the Clevera REST API.

AI agents & API is on the Pro, Business and Custom plans. Agents act as the person who connected them and can never do more than that person's role allows.

The Agent requests tab: Codex asks to make a product demo video for 45–60 credits, with Deny and Approve, and a history of decided requests.
Paid work above your auto-approve line waits for a person.

    Improved

    • Plans show doc sites and agents side by side. The plan picker and the plan comparison in Billing now list what each plan includes for doc sites (sites, your own domain, private sites, languages, assistant answers, insights history) and for AI agents & API, connected apps and webhooks. See Choose a plan.
    • Know what a plan change takes away. Before you move to a smaller plan or cancel, Clevera lists what your doc sites and agents would lose, such as API access, sites over the new limit, private sites and custom domains. Nothing is deleted. See Doc site plans and limits.

Clevera in your language, a new article editor and a more capable assistant

Clevera now speaks your language, articles have a new editor with AI built in, Content is reorganized into sections, and the assistants can change much more of your video, with a plan to confirm before big changes.

    New

    • Use Clevera in your language. Choose a display language in Account settings → Preferences → Language. Menus, buttons, emails and the assistants' replies follow it; your videos, clips and articles keep their own language. You can also pick it on the sign-in and sign-up pages. See Change the display language.
    • A new article editor. Type / for any block, drag blocks by their handle, and build tables, steps, tabs, cards and callouts. The header shows who else is in the article. See Edit an article and its screenshots.
    • AI in the article editor. Press ⌘J (Ctrl+J) or click Ask AI to improve, shorten, translate or change the tone of a passage, check it against the recording, fill gaps from it, add a screenshot or write what comes next. The result appears as a preview you can replace, insert below or discard. It uses credits and shows as Article AI. See Use AI in the article editor.
    • The video assistant changes much more. Ask it to trim or speed up footage, change zooms, scenes and cards, add callouts and highlights, set music and captions, change the aspect ratio, the background or the voice. Show on a change opens the panel where it happened and marks what the AI edited. See Ask the assistant to change your video.
    • Plans before big changes. When you ask an assistant for a large change, it first shows a plan card with each change, an estimate in credits and your balance before and after; nothing happens until you click Confirm. Social clip redesigns are planned scene by scene, with a 1x, 2x or 3x effort choice. See Review and confirm an assistant plan.
    • Free small assistant edits every day. Answers, simple edits and planning are free each day up to an allowance per workspace; after that, small edits use credits. See Free small edits each day.
    • One social clip on the Free plan. Free workspaces can now make one social clip, one time only, at Medium effort. If it fails on our side, you get it back. See Know what the Free plan includes.
    • Set a clip's style with a sample video. In Compose, Upload a sample video and the AI follows its style, pacing, music and sound, never its content. See Use a sample video to set a clip's style.
    • Content sections. Content has its own list on the left: All content, In progress, Shared, Videos, Social clips, Articles, Recordings, your collections, All collections and Trash. A collection's settings and access open right inside Content, and new collections can use an emoji, an icon or your own image. See Find, filter and sort your content and Organize videos in collections and folders.
    • Track every run in one place. Content → In progress lists every video, clip and research run being made in the workspace, with questions waiting for you, failed runs and their refunds, and Try again or Cancel run. See Track runs in progress.
    • Reset a share link. If a link reached the wrong people, Reset link in Share gives the video a new address; the old link and its embeds stop working at once and your view counts are kept. See Reset the link.
    • Switch to yearly from Billing. When yearly costs less, owners of a monthly Starter or Pro plan see the saving in Billing and can switch in one step, with the charge shown before they confirm. See Switch to yearly.
    • Download an article as a Markdown file, next to Copy as Markdown in Share. See Export or publish an article.

    Improved

    • A calmer sidebar. It shows icons only by default (press ⌘B to expand; your choice is remembered), with the credit meter and notifications at its foot and your pinned collections under Content. See Find your way around Clevera.
    • Videos now live inside articles with the video block. Instead of pairing an article with a video, add a Clevera video block anywhere in the article. Articles that were paired with a video now start with it as a block, so readers still see it. See Show a video in an article.
    • Clearer downloads and publishing for articles. Each download format says what it's best for and what converts. Publishing runs in the background, shows its progress and tells you when it's done, even if you leave the page. Notion, Confluence, Help Scout, GitLab, Bitbucket and ReadMe pages keep more of your formatting, and Google Docs always creates a new document. See Export or publish an article.
    • The social clip editor. A Narration card lists every line, so you can play, rewrite and re-record each one. Translate a clip from Translate in the top bar. See Edit a social clip.
    • Social clips sound better. Music is chosen to fit the clip and sits under the voice, sound effects are balanced, and every clip plays at a consistent volume. See Understand music and sound effects in clips.
    • Captions on social clips are off by default. Turn them on when a clip needs them; their look now matches the clip's style. See Change the style, background and captions.
    • Polish cuts more cleanly. Clean-up removes retakes, false starts and filler at natural pauses, never mid-word. Styled for sharing trims dead air gently and keeps your title. Both add captions in your own voice, and Compose shows Captions and Format for Polish. See Clean up or restyle a recording with Polish.
    • Better-paced how-tos and demos. The footage follows the voice without long freezes, each click gets a moment before it happens, and re-recording a line refits its scene. See Use sync and pacing to match footage to narration.
    • More natural voice-overs. Voice tags for pauses, breaths, laughs and delivery work in every tone and language, and the voice stays consistent across a video. See Use voice tags in narration.
    • Seat changes show the exact charge. Before you confirm, Update seats compares now and after and shows what you pay today, from your renewal, and which card is charged. See Add or remove Pro seats.
    • Links are checked before a run starts. Website research, Record with AI and social clips check the address first and say why when a page can't be used, so you don't spend credits on a page that won't open. YouTube links can't be used as material. See Why Clevera can't open a link and Know which links and materials Clevera won't use.
    • Safer email changes. Changing your account email now asks for your password (or a code for Google sign-in accounts) and takes effect only after you confirm from the new address. Your old address is told about the change. See Change your account email.
    • Clearer roles. Editors edit existing videos, clips and articles; creating new ones and starting a new generation are for owners, admins and content creators, and the buttons say so. Only people who can edit an article can publish it. See Understand workspaces, roles and creator seats.
    • Deleting forever runs in the background. Delete forever and Empty trash no longer keep you waiting: Content shows "Deleting N items…" while it works. See Delete and restore videos and articles.
    • The embedded video player no longer shows a "Made with Clevera" pill over the video.

    Fixed

    • Clevera no longer stops working when your browser translates the page.
    • Dragging the seek bar in the player no longer shows the paused overlay.

Narrate over your own video clips, plus a frame picker and a smarter cancel flow

The Add voiceover dialog with Upload a video selected and a chosen video, product-teaser.mp4, in its row with a Change video button.

    New

    • Narrate over your own video clips. The Video step now has a Voiceover section: write a line, click Save, and Clevera records it in the video's voice before the dialog closes. If the voice runs longer than the clip, the clip holds its last frame, or keeps looping if Loop is on. The clip's own sound turns down while the voice speaks, and a new Mute clip sound switch silences it completely. It uses credits like any other voiceover. See Edit scenes and cards.
    • Upload a video in Add voiceover. What viewers see has a third choice, Upload a video. Pick or upload an MP4 with Choose video…, click Add voiceover, and Clevera adds a Video step with your narration in one go. See Edit the script and voice-over.
    • Pick the exact freeze frame. A Freeze frame voiceover now has Change frame…: drag along the filmstrip, step with ← / → (one frame) or Shift with the arrows (one second), jump with Home / End, then click Use this frame. See Choose the freeze frame.
    • A clearer cancel flow. Cancelling now starts by asking why, shows one offer that fits your answer (talk to support, switch to Starter at renewal, or pause a monthly plan), and ends with a confirmation of what stays and what ends. See Cancel, pause or restart your subscription.
The Add voiceover dialog with Upload a video selected and a chosen video, product-teaser.mp4, in its row with a Change video button.
Upload a video sits next to Freeze frame and Play a clip.
The Choose the frame window with a large still of the recording, a filmstrip below it and a playhead on the chosen frame.
Click or drag along the filmstrip to pick the frame.
The Video step editor with a video chosen, the Mute clip sound switch highlighted, and a line of narration in the Voiceover section.
The Video step's Voiceover section and the new Mute clip sound switch.

    Improved

    • A paused plan keeps its Restart subscription button, its credits and its invoices on the Billing page.
    • In the Share window, the note about whether a render is up to date now sits under the render's details instead of beside its buttons.

    Fixed

    • Typing quickly in a scene editor, such as a title card or a list, no longer drops characters.
    • A voiceover on a Video step is saved only if it was recorded: if recording fails, you see an error and nothing is changed.

Overlay videos placed from the Elements tab still can't carry a voiceover. To narrate over a clip, use a Video step or Upload a video.

Help from the editor, cleaner Record with AI films and billing fixes

The editor's top bar with the question-mark Help & support button highlighted and the Clevera support chat open below it

You can reach support without leaving the editor, Record with AI films read more like a person's demo, the app loads faster, and several billing, upload and caption problems are fixed.

The editor's top bar with the question-mark Help & support button highlighted and the Clevera support chat open below it
Help & support opens the support chat from the editor's top bar.

    New

    • Help & support in the editor. A question-mark button in the top bar of the video and article editors opens the support chat, with a dot when there's a reply you haven't read. In a narrow window it's under ⋯ → Help & support. See Contact support.
    • Recordings made in another account. When the desktop app is signed in to a different Clevera account than your browser, the page now says "This recording is in another Clevera account" and shows how to switch, instead of an access error. The recording is kept safe in the app's account. See The recording is in another Clevera account.

    Improved

    • Record with AI films read better. Recordings get a short title written by the AI instead of your pasted steps. Typing shows letter by letter, cookie banners, pop-ups and ads are closed and cut from the film, and films end on the last result without a long hold. A step that's still making progress gets more time before it's skipped. See Record with AI.
    • A faster app. Clevera loads much faster the first time you open it.
    • Scene settings. In a scene's settings, Source is a dropdown, and size and alignment are icon buttons with tooltips.
    • Invoices from earlier subscriptions. Billing → Invoices keeps the receipts of a subscription you cancelled after you subscribe again. See Fix a failed payment.

    Fixed

    • Cancelling near the end of a billing period no longer moves the workspace to Free a few hours early and ends its plan credits.
    • .mp4 files saved by Mac screen recorders upload instead of being refused as QuickTime files.
    • Chinese captions wrap and move to the next line correctly; opening quotes, brackets and dashes keep the space before them; and a stray copy of an enlarged caption word no longer shows in exports.
    • Reloading the page during an export no longer leaves a stuck "Rendering in another tab".
    • Sync & pacing shows the cursor over the preview again, and the timeline no longer shows an empty row for the cursor.
    • Usage names voice-over credits correctly.

Tighter Record with AI videos and more reliable uploads

    Improved

    • Tighter videos from Record with AI. The moments where the AI pauses to think are cut out, so the video moves from one action to the next, starts at the first step and ends on the result. Typing and scrolling are paced so viewers can follow them. See Let the AI record your product with Record with AI.
    • A clearer live view. While the AI records, one status line shows whether it's getting ready, recording or finishing. Steps shows the AI's plan and where it is, and the activity list is grouped by step.
    • Your sign-in stays out of the video. When a walkthrough signs in, Don't include signing in in the video (on by default) leaves that part out, and the live view says when you're signing in off the record. See Sign in or take over during Record with AI.
    • More reliable video uploads. Large files upload in parts and recover from a weak connection on their own. If an upload can't finish, you see why. Videos you upload for social clips are now saved to your library, so you can reuse them. See Add materials: recordings, footage, pictures, PDFs and links.
    • Credits back for failed runs. If a generation, translation, website research or Record with AI run fails on our side, every credit it used is returned, and the Usage page shows it as "Failed run refunded". See Know when credits are charged.
    • Better text on vertical and square videos. Titles, intro cards and scene text on 9:16, 1:1 and 4:5 videos are drawn at full size, with wider text boxes. See Edit scenes and cards.
    • Get started from Home. A new row on Home links to the guides for making your first video.

    Fixed

    • After removing a video's last scene, later changes in the editor could fail to save. If a save ever fails, the editor now shows Not saved.
    • An export could wrongly say you were out of credits.

Article version history, collection folders and a calmer editor

The editor's side panel on the Style tab, with the Script, Style, Audio, Zoom and Elements tabs on its icon rail.

    New

    • Article version history. Open History in the article editor to see every version, preview one with its changes marked, name or pin the ones that matter, and restore with one click (and undo it). See Restore an earlier version of an article.
    • Folders in collections. A folder row sits above a collection's items. Move items with Move to folder or by dragging them, and rename or reorder folders. Each item lives in one folder. See Organize videos in collections and folders.
    • Render files are kept for 90 days. The render history shows who made each export and when its file will be removed. See Export a video as MP4.
Previewing a named article version with changes marked against the current article
Preview any version with its changes marked, then restore it.
A collection with its folder row above the items
Folders sit above the items in a collection.

    Improved

    Editor

    • A calmer video editor. The side panel has five tabs: Script, Style, Audio, Zoom and Elements. Style groups background, cursor, captions and camera. Voice and music have searchable pickers with previews, and Elements lists what's already in the video. See Find your way around the video editor.
    • Script tab. Chapters show their step count and length, and AI suggestions appear as marked changes. See Edit the script and voice-over.
    • Scene editors for title cards, logo reveals, lists, text beats, transitions and backgrounds share one compact layout with a fitted preview. See Edit scenes and cards.
    • Moving previews in effect and animation pickers, and the click sound has a play button. See Add and edit elements.
    • Sync & pacing is one linked timeline with a timing inspector. See Use sync and pacing to match footage to narration.
    • The timeline is more compact, and you can drag layers to reorder them. See Understand the timeline.
    • Languages. A searchable language menu in the top bar includes Translate…, and the Translate window shows each language's status. See Understand language versions of a video.
    • The media library is one view with All, This video and My uploads filters and drag-and-drop upload.
    • Revision history for videos and articles has compact rows, one filter and a clearer restore dialog. See Restore an earlier version of a video.
    • The social clip editor has a tidier inspector, add menu and playback controls. See Edit a social clip.
    • Assistants suggest follow-up requests, have a New chat button and format their replies. The article assistant is wider and can be resized. See Ask the assistant to change your video.
    • Templates and AI rules. The template picker has All, Built-in, Your team and Mine tabs, and a viewer where every part plays. The template editor no longer loses unsaved changes when you click outside it. Built-in AI rule sets can be duplicated. See Use a video template for your brand and Create and apply AI rules.
The editor's side panel on the Style tab, with the Script, Style, Audio, Zoom and Elements tabs
    Five tabs instead of eight.

    Creating videos

    Sharing and exports

    Workspace and account

    • Settings, Billing, Usage, Analytics, Notifications, Integrations, Referrals, Collections and Content share one calm design with sortable tables. The Collections list has All, Team and Private tabs.
    • Add to collection and Move to collection have search, filters and shift-click selection. See Move, share or delete several items at once.
    • Search (⌘K) is a compact command palette. See Search everything with ⌘K.
    • Sign-in and sign-up pages are redesigned, with show/hide password, a Caps Lock warning, live password rules and a code box you can paste into. Resetting your password signs you out everywhere, and viewing two-factor recovery codes asks for your password again. See See where you're signed in and sign out other sessions.
    • The notification inbox has roomier rows, and grouped rows name the videos. See Choose which notifications you get.

    Fixed

    • Social clips didn't play on share pages and embeds.
    • A companion article didn't show on the share page until someone opened it in the editor. See Attach a companion article to a shared video.
    • Record with AI said "The selected purpose is invalid" from some Create cards, and a video could start before its AI recording was ready. See Let the AI record your product with Record with AI.
    • How-to narration could read out markers like "[1]".
    • Click sounds were missing from exports made on our servers, and a still image could show over earlier scenes.
    • Exports of small portrait recordings framed as 16:9 could fail. See My export stopped or failed.
    • The low-credit banner ignored bonus and bought credits. See I ran out of credits.
    • The article editor could lose your last edit when you closed the tab. See Edit an article and its screenshots.
    • A cancelled voice change could stay on "Applying voice".
    • Voice tags couldn't be inserted. See Use voice tags in narration.
    • Text beats could use dark text on a dark background.
    • Switching folders in Content could mix in items from the previous folder, and filter checkboxes didn't toggle.
    • A two-factor setup you never finished showed as on. It now says Finish setup.
    • Editing a social clip with a logo clipped to a shape could fail.
    • Support pages showed the wrong email address. See Contact support.

The new Clevera: start from one sentence, social clips, Record with AI and credits

The generation page with a live preview showing 4 of 9 scenes ready, above the stages

This is the biggest update Clevera has had. You can now start any video from one sentence on Home, make motion-designed social clips, let the AI research your website or record your product for you, and pay for what you make with credits. A Free plan replaces the trial. The editor, exports, sharing, analytics and notifications were rebuilt as well.

The Home prompt box with a how-to request typed in and the Start button
Describe the video in a sentence or two, then press Enter.

    New

    Creating videos

    • Start from one sentence on Home. Type what you want in the box under What do you want to make?. A short setup chat picks the right type, asks only what it needs and opens Compose with everything filled in. Planning in the chat is free. See Make your first video from the Home prompt and Plan a video with the setup chat.
    • A new Home. It has the prompt box, four start cards, the videos that are still being made, and a summary of what your workspace made, how often it was viewed and how many credits it used. See Find your way around Clevera.
    • The Create gallery. Video types are grouped into families: How-to, Product demo, Social & promo, Article and Polish. Cards play a short sample when you hover, and Describe your own starts a custom video. See Pick a video type in the Create gallery.
    • Compose, one page for every video. Write the brief, attach material with the + button and set the options with the pills under the box: format, voice, look, AI avatar, language, music, tone, captions and AI rules. Each pill starts on a recommended choice. See Set the video's options with the pills.
    • Several materials in one video. Attach recordings, video files, pictures, PDFs and links. The AI reads pictures and PDFs as soon as you add them, says what it sees, and asks once if it isn't sure how to use a file. See Add materials and Tell the AI how to use a picture or PDF.
    • A recording library you can search. The picker shows your recordings and your teammates' (Everyone / Mine), AI recordings and uploads, with search and a full preview. See Find and reuse your recordings.
    • A credit estimate before you generate. Every form shows Est. cost ~X–Y credits beside the Generate button. See Read the credit estimate before you generate.
    • Follow your video while it's made. The page We're making your video shows five stages with a short feed of what the AI is doing. A chime plays and the tab title changes when it needs you or the video is ready. You can close the tab, and the video keeps going. See Follow your video while it generates.
    • The AI asks when it needs to. If something is unclear, or a video type needs a fact your material doesn't give (an offer's terms, an event date), a question card appears on the generation page. See Answer the AI's questions during generation.
    • Stop a generation at any point. A failed or stopped video shows a plain explanation, Try again where it can help, and Discard. See Stop, retry or clear a generation.
    • Short tips point out the main controls the first time you meet them.
The generation page with a live preview showing 4 of 9 scenes ready, above the stages
Social clips preview each scene as soon as it's ready.

    Social clips

Social clips are on the Starter and Pro plans.

    • Motion-designed social clips. Make short videos for feeds, ads and launches from a link, pictures, a PDF, a video or just a description. The AI director writes and animates every scene, records the voice-over, adds music and sound effects, checks its own work and gives the clip a title. Types include feature spotlight, hook reel, launch teaser, product tour, offer, event and customer story. See Make your first social clip and Choose a social clip type.
    • Effort levels. Choose Medium, High (the default) or Extra beside Generate to trade credits for polish. See Choose an effort level.
    • Pick a look. Leave the look on Automatic, or pick a design style with a live preview and use its own colors, a named palette or up to five colors of your own. See Pick a look: styles, palettes and colors.
    • An AI avatar. Add a presenter, pick a look and choose how much screen time they get: Opening, Hook & close, Most or Whole video. See Add an AI avatar and set its screen time.
    • Your logo, found for you. The AI uses the logo you attach, the one on your website, your workspace logo, or a mark from your footage, and never recolors it. See Get your logo into a social clip.
    • Music and sound effects. The AI picks a track that fits the mood and keeps it under the voice. Sound effects are subtle and spaced out. You can swap either in the editor. See Understand music and sound effects in clips.
    • Your footage, used well. The AI watches a recording or video you attach, plays the moments that show each scene's point, and follows the pointer with the camera. A video's own speech can play as a sound bite. Emails, card numbers and similar text it reads on screen are masked.
    • Translate a clip into up to five languages at once. The voice-over is re-recorded and fitted to each scene, and captions draw every script properly, including Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Arabic and Thai. See Translate a finished video.
    • A clip editor with an assistant. Ask for a change in plain words, such as new music, a different picture or shorter text, and the assistant applies it. Each change can be undone in one step. You can also click any scene or text on the preview to edit it. See Edit a social clip.

Website research and Record with AI

The Record with AI live page with the browser on the left and the AI's steps on the right
Watch the AI record, and take over whenever you need to.

    Videos from your recording

    • Combine several sources in one how-to or demo. Use up to three videos plus pictures and PDFs, with a note on how to use each. See Use several recordings, pictures and PDFs in one video.
    • Make a video from pictures or a PDF alone. No recording is needed: the pages become the video in order, and the narration talks about the page on screen. See Make a video from pictures or a PDF alone.
    • Captions for how-to and demo videos can be switched on from the Captions pill on Compose.

    Editor

    • An assistant in the video and article editors. Ask for changes in plain words. It shows its reply as it writes, and you can stop it or undo its change. See Ask the assistant to change your video and Ask the assistant to change your article.
    • Motion backgrounds for title cards and scenes, with light and dark themes and adjustable colors and speed. See Edit scenes and cards.
    • Idle animations for elements. Alongside the entrance and exit animations, an element can drift, float, pulse or tilt while it's on screen. See Add and edit elements.
    • A placement grid. Press G to show it and hold Alt while dragging to snap to it.
    • An info button beside the title shows the video's type, who made and edited it, its source, length, languages, exports, views and the credits it used.

    Credits and plans

    • Credits. Each workspace has one balance made up of included, bonus and bought credits. Generations show an estimate first and are charged for what they actually use. Exporting is always free, and you can keep editing and exporting when you run low. See Understand credits and See what each kind of video costs.
    • A Free plan replaces the 7-day trial. It includes 100 credits a month, videos up to 3 minutes, 1080p exports with a watermark, and one generation at a time. See Know what the Free plan includes.
    • New plans. Starter and Pro, with Pro covering 2–10 creator seats, plus Custom. The plan picker compares what each plan's credits make. See Choose a plan.
    • Buy extra credits when you need more, and opt in to a low-credit reminder by email. Nothing is charged automatically. See Buy extra credits.
    • A Usage page with your balance, a forecast, usage by activity, member and video, a full credit history and CSV export. See Check where your credits went.
    • Invite friends and earn credits. Your friend gets 250 credits and you get 500 once their workspace pays. See Earn credits by inviting friends.
    • Add a seat while you invite. Inviting a creator when every seat is taken offers to add one there and then. See Understand workspaces, roles and creator seats.

    Sharing and analytics

    • An Analytics page for the whole workspace. It has a period picker with comparison, views, completion and watch time, a 25/50/75/100% funnel, breakdowns by collection, creator, content type and country, and CSV export. See Read video analytics.

    Notifications and email

    • A notification inbox. The bell opens a panel of updates about your videos, exports, team and billing, and there is a full Notifications page. Choose On, Quiet or Off for each type, in the app or by email. Results are emailed only if you haven't already seen them. See Choose which notifications you get.
    • Email reports. A workspace report, your own recap and a "needs your attention" email, each on a schedule you set. See Get workspace reports by email.
    • Refresh after an update. When Clevera is updated, it asks you to refresh, and waits until unsaved edits, exports, uploads and recordings are finished. See Clevera asks me to refresh the page.

    Improved

    Videos from your recording

    • Smarter automatic zooms. Zooms are anchored to real clicks, frame what the click affects, land just before it and stay at a readable depth. Typing gets its own short zoom. See Understand automatic zooms and cursor effects.
    • Better pacing. Dead time is cut or sped up, long typing plays faster, and clicks and typing are never cut. The cursor glides across cuts instead of jumping.
    • Clearer structure. Videos open with a short narrated preview, chapter cards appear only at major changes, and demos close with a call-to-action card. See Make a product demo from a recording.
    • From the desktop app straight to Create. When a recording finishes, the browser opens Create with it attached, and it turns ready in place. See Find your recording after it uploads.
    • PDFs as background. On how-to and demo videos, attached PDFs are read for facts the narration can use.

    Creating and editing

    • Voice picker. Every voice for each language, with a sample you can play before choosing, and All, Female and Male filters. See Choose a voice and preview it.
    • AI rules and templates are chosen right in the create flow. See Create and apply AI rules.
    • Revision history opens in a side drawer with a preview. You can restore everything or only parts (captions, music, look or layers), and name or pin versions. See Restore an earlier version of a video.
    • Translation. One window for every entry point lets you pick several languages at once. Switching language keeps your place in the video. See Translate a finished video.
    • Element animations have Entrance, Idle and Exit tabs with new moves. Element settings are grouped into clearer cards, and the alignment picker works.
    • Articles. Choose the depth, tone and the color of screenshot markers on Compose. Articles in right-to-left languages read right to left everywhere. See Turn a recording into an article.

    Exports and sharing

    • One Render button. Pick 1080p, 2K or 4K (up to your plan's limit). Clevera renders on your device when it can and moves the job to our servers when needed, and All renders lists every export. See Export a video as MP4 and Understand on-device and cloud rendering.
    • Exports match your settings. They come out at exactly the resolution you chose, captions keep their size at 2K and 4K, and an unchanged video isn't rendered again.
    • A rebuilt Share window with Link, Embed, Download and Publish, the latest render first, and an export in progress that stays visible after you close the window. See Share a video with a link.

    Workspace

    • The content library has grid, table and list views, filters by video type, multi-select with bulk actions, keyboard shortcuts and Trash. See Find, filter and sort your content and Move, share or delete several items at once.
    • Collections are redesigned, with a clearer Who can open it page. Private collections stay hidden from people outside them. See Organize videos in collections and folders.
    • Settings for your account and workspace are split into tabs, and a pending invitation can be resent. See Invite teammates.
    • The sidebar has one workspace menu at the top, your account at the foot and a credit meter. On phones and narrow windows it slides in from a top bar.
    • Search (⌘K) also finds settings pages. See Search everything with ⌘K.
    • The support chat is redesigned. See Contact support.
    • Emails have one clean layout that works in light and dark mail apps.
    • Sign-in is better protected. Sign-in is paused after repeated wrong passwords.

    Fixed

    • English (UK) voice-overs now speak with a British accent.
    • The logo reveal uses your workspace's real brand, and template placeholder text never reaches a finished video.
    • Article screenshots no longer load forever or repeat frames.
    • An upload that's refused now says why, instead of "Please provide a valid file."
    • Switching workspace now takes you to the new workspace.
    • Clicking a small element on top of a full-screen one selects the small one.
    • Picking a color format no longer closes the color picker, and clicking inside a dialog no longer closes the one behind it.

Prices in US$, better Chinese, Japanese and Korean captions, and larger Windows recordings

The caption style picker with six styles and a caption on the video.

    New

    • Regenerate captions. The captions menu in the editor now has a regenerate option, so captions can be rebuilt after you change the narration. Captions follow your saved script instead of keeping words the speech recognition misheard. See Change the style, background and captions.
    • Line spacing on title cards. Set the line height for each text box on a title card. See Edit scenes and cards.
    • Wordmark images in logo reveals. Upload a wordmark next to the logo icon, so a logo set in a custom font shows exactly as designed.

Captions now follow your saved script.

    Improved

    • Prices show as US$. All charges are in US dollars, so prices on the billing page, at checkout, on top-ups and in usage emails now read "US$" instead of a bare "$" that could be mistaken for your local currency.
    • Captions in Chinese, Japanese and Korean break into pages by sentence and keep tight spacing between characters.
    • Articles in languages other than English are written and titled reliably, including their FAQ section. See Turn a recording into an article.
    • Large recordings from the Windows app (over 500 MB) are processed fully, and exports in your browser handle very large media files.
    • Uploads open sooner. A long uploaded video is ready to use once its preview is ready, instead of waiting for its audio to be extracted.

    Fixed

    • Typing a Chinese title card with an input method could leave the old headline in the preview and the export.
    • Teaser videos could repeat the same title card many times.
    • A freeze frame added in the scene editor could land in the wrong place.
    • Some 60 fps recordings could not be used as the export source.
    • Publishing to Confluence failed for workspaces using the newer permission scopes. See Publish articles to Confluence.
